Don joined Espy Lumber in 1979 and spent five years as an Outside Sales Representative. After a brief absence, he returned in 1987 as the Millwork Development Manager responsible for all millwork programs, product education, architectural support and shop support.
Born in Savannah, he grew up in Pembroke, Ga. He attended Bryan County High School, then Georgia Southern College, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing. He is a past member of the Hilton Head Island Jaycees where he was Most Outstanding Member in 1983 and President in 1984. He is also a Delta Tau Delta Fraternity Alumnus, member of the Georgia Master 4-H Club, Georgia 4-H Camp Councilor Association, Affiliate member of the Hilton Head Area Section AIA and former longtime charter member of the May River Chapter of Business Networking International.
Don Lives in Bluffton with his wife Jenny. They have two grown daughters and seven grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching sports and spending time on the river or in the Georgia mountains.
