Kathy joined Espy Lumber in August 2021 as the Credit Manager. Originally from Niagara Falls, NY., she attended Kelly Business Institute and Niagara County Community College majoring in Business Administration and Accounting. She began her career in Accounting and Finance working for a non-profit agency in Niagara Falls, NY. It was here that she gained exposure to cost accounting by working with various Grants, Joint Ventures, Small Businesses, and 8A Firms.
After moving to Colorado in 1991 where she lived for 30 years with her husband and two daughters, her accounting skills evolved while working on Federal Government contracts. The Federal sector had become her strongest attribute as it opened many doors allowing her the opportunity to work for some of the largest Construction and A & E companies in the U.S., holding the title of Director of Federal Accounting and Compliance.
Kathy now lives in Hardeeville, with her husband Dave. They have two grown daughters: Nicole and husband Jason, and Lynn and husband Jason. Each of the girls have two daughters of their own. When she’s not at work, Kathy enjoys spending time at the beach, gardening, and just enjoying the South Carolina Sunset from her front porch.
